poke challenge of designing 3 different-looking pokemon based on a random pokemon

I got swampert, one of my favorite pokemon, lucky me. There’s definitely some extra-vertebrae inspiration in regards to the slight redesigning, try more realism while keeping fairly close to the original pokemon.

Anyhow, my three swamperts are:

a) Iki Iki, a pretty female that’s probably something of an attraction at themed parks or something like that

b) Seriva, my original Emerald version swampert. I swept entire teams just with her, so I thought I’d make her a hunk

c) Obo, a fatty super mellow and adorable babbu that was found as a liddle mistreated mudkip by caretakers, and evolved into a big swampert that was overfed and just drags his bulk along. my favorite one

and some first sketches to get the feel for swampert. i gave it the weird barb teeth some turtles have, just for kicks

fingers crossed for the next pokemon

<3 Swampert and all the previous evolutions of it. Only game that throws me for a loop on this pokemon so far is mystery dungeon on ds. Is only one type instead of two. Is supposed to be ground/water type. :/

these are goddang marvelous! i love the variations, and all these different poses are all done really well from each angle.

makes me nostalgic and now i miss pokerman... ; _;
